Getting married at St Lukes Church in Auckland

In July 2023, Maryanne & Thomas wed in the St Luke’s Church in Remuera, Auckland. On a cold and very windy winter’s day, they had their close friends and family gather together to see them tie the knot. These two chose to have only their wedding ceremony and some formal portraits and bridal party photographed.

As mentioned above, the weather was cold and windy, so we opted to stay inside the church for the majority of the photos. It was not a bad decision because the church is so beautiful inside. Everyone was able to stay nice and comfortable. Maryanne’s bridesmaids wore velvet red and orange dresses. These were perfect for the time of year and matched with her florals perfectly.

Heading outside for the BEST portraits

After taking some inside portraits of the bride and groom, I suggested that we brave the cold and the wind to get a few outside photos. Promising to be super quick, we headed outdoors for a full 5 minutes. I am happy that we did, and I am sure that Maryanne and Thomas are too because these outdoor photos are my favs!

St Lukes Church in Remuera, Auckland is a great option for a wedding ceremony. Particularly if you really value photography and getting married in a location that looks good in the photos. The interior and exterior are perfect to capture beautiful photos of your day. It is a really good choice if the weather turns sour because the inside is so stunning.
