Laura & Byron tied the knot in the first of their 2 weddings at The Stables, Matakana. They are celebrating their marriage with 2 weddings to accommodate both their New Zealand and UK family and friends. This is not an uncommon trend with couples who hail from different countries so that no-one gets missed out.
The wedding photography coverage started at the ceremony venue with Laura and Byron skipping the ‘getting ready’ photos. Nervously excited, Byron waited for the arrival of his bride who walked up the aisle looking absolutely beautiful.
They said their vows, exchanged rings and then shared their first kiss with all their closest New Zealand friends as witnesses. At the end of the ceremony, they walked back down the aisle to a confetti throw and the photos we got of this moment were just stunning.
Following their ceremony, they took a few minutes to let their guests congratulate them and then we headed into getting photos. We started with formal family and guest photos before moving the bridal party to another location to make the most of the surrounding grounds.
Finishing off the portraits with just Laura and Byron and some more intimate shots of the two of them loving on each other.
Laura and Josh re-entered the Stables venue where they were cheered on by their guest. They cut their cake that was especially made by Byron’s mother, and then moved onto speeches, dinner and their first dance. They had choreographed their dance and so we also got a few beautiful photos of them practising their dance in private in the window light.
The night ended with a sparkler exit and I left the party with the guests all cutting shapes on the dance floor where the music was getting everyone in the party vibe! Definitely a night to remember and a wedding i thoroughly enjoyed capturing.
